Since 2014, the EnfanceAfrique.org Network has been documenting the realities of childhood in West Africa through field ethnographic surveys conducted in Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso and eight other countries in the sub-region.

These chronicles are the logbook of this research — analyses based on rigorous field data, anonymised stories of families and children met along the way, and reflections on the cultural practices that shape children's lives in West Africa.

They are aimed at researchers, child protection practitioners, policymakers, and all those who believe, as we do, that on-the-ground knowledge is the primary tool for social change.
